Cordy marches down the hall, with Gunn and Fred still trailing behind her. Fred tries to tempt her with a sandwich, and I bet she just wants to try out the taser again. Gunn chimes in, "We have cookies!" Hee. Cordy says that she wants to talk to Angel, "sans sidekicks." Gunn calls after her, "I am not a sidekick." Two running gags in one episode! Whee!
Angel knocks on Cary's door. Cary tells him to go away. Angel says, "If it's that bad, I need to know!" Cary opens the door and says, "It's that bad. G'night!" Angel wants details, and Cary whines that whatever he saw made him puke and he'd rather not think about it anymore. Cary finally asks, "Do the words 'Slouching Toward Bethlehem' ring a bell?" Ding ding ding! Gosh, Cary's gotten two titles in a row. He continues, "Or how about, 'despair, torment, terror.' And I'm not referring to little missy's choice of song, either, although that horrifying in its own right." He's such an unappeasable Host. Cary says he just saw details and flashes, but he didn't like it much. "Evil's coming, Angel, and it's planning on staying."
