Upstairs, a freed Cary finishes grinding something with a mortar and pestle he just happened to have handy, and places some hummus on Fred's tongue. Fred swallows and winces. Cary asks if it worked. Behind Cary, we see Gunn lunge out of the office, prepared to do something quite violent to Cary. Fred shouts, "Wait!"

Angel punches Connor. A lot. Connor punches Angel. Once. That goes on for a bit, and eventually Connor is lying at Angel's feet. Connor moans, "You happy now?" Angel, disgruntled, says, "I didn't ask to be attacked. I didn't ask to be a freak. Hell, I didn't even ask to be born." He wanders away from Connor. Uh oh, he remembered how to brood! Connor calls Angel back as he stands up. Angel asks if Connor wants another beating, and Connor replies, "Oh, I so almost had you." Fred suddenly leans through that inexplicable window and shouts, "Hold it! Nobody kill anybody! Please?"

Wesley steps into the lobby, where Gunn and Fred are tidying up, and exits. Frame non-story Cary says, "So all's well that ends well, right, kiddies?"

Cut to Cary, feeding Cordy her dose of hummus while Angel watches intently. Then we get a Cordy-POV-shot of Angel and Connor staring at her. She looks horrified, turns, and runs away in slow motion.
