Felicity tells Oliver that the laptop contained blueprints. Specifically, blueprints of the Exchange Building, which is where the auction is scheduled to take place. I can't believe she looked that up! Wouldn't you just look up the building's name instead of checking the news to see what events are happening there? Oliver is not convincing as he claims that it's his laptop. She ventures a Hamlet analogy about Walter. It's simultaneously boring and on-the-nose. Anyway, this is Warren Patel's laptop. Oliver VOs that he can't protect everyone alone because there are too many eyelines.
Outside the police station, Officer Dad gets thugged by Oliver and told about Floyd Lawton, Warren Patel, and the name "Deadshot". Before he leaves, Oliver tells him, "Lawton laces his bullets with curare. Tell your men to wear kevlar."
Damn it. One more time. The problem is the bullet. Not the curare. And anyway, kevlar protects against bullets, not curare. The cure for curare is "a handful of grass from this one island," right? This whole curare thing is very, very flawed.
Oh, and Oliver left the laptop there for the police. Helpful! And also not admissible!
Oh, lovely! A party. It's one of those luxurious wine-and-cheese auctions. Walter tells Moira he's already a winner because he has the two most beautiful women by his side. To her delight, Thea is there. Thea hugs Moira. Nearby, Officer Dad gets the word that Warren Patel has been arrested. He calls his units one at a time. Unit Five is secretly Deadshot, who has killed a cop. I'm pretty sure Oliver did that in the pilot.
Laurel is at the courthouse late on Friday night and Tommy ambushes her to talk about last night. Not the part where she saved them from the thugs. Laurel tells Tommy that Oliver clearly already knew about them sleeping together: "Tommy, he didn't even blink. Trust me, he knew." He never blinks! I don't think he knows how. Tommy wants to know if he and Laurel have a chance together. He wants to prove he's a one-woman guy. Laurel kind of vaguely accepts his offer. He offer his arm and they leave.
Officer dad smirks at Oliver for shining up nice. Most of Officer Dad's captions are "[SCOFFS]". Oliver asks Dig if he's got his eyes open for trouble. Dig: "That's what I'm here for, sir. That and answering patronizing questions." Oliver is not playing it cool. He's openly talking about Lawton doing something before the auction and lamely covers when Dig notices that Oliver is not acting like a dissipated party boy. Walter comes up and Oliver talks about how concerned he is about the murders. Walter points out that Thea is there and Oliver rushes over to talk to her. Deadshot lines up a shot that looks like it's going to Oliver and then settles on Walter.
