Gone For Gouda

And we're back to Julie, live. She goes to the houseguests in the living room, and she wants to know how everybody is doing. Specifically, of course, she wants to know whether Marcellas and Amy have made up. Happily, and I think somewhat overly easily, Marcellas says that they have. Amy happily refers to herself and Marcellas as "Suzanne and Anthony." Aww, just like the forums always say! Then Julie hands Josh a free shot at strutting his arrogant, self-satisfied stuff over the safe week he's enjoyed. Feh. She points out that apparently, his "fire insurance" line worked, and he says -- no foolin' -- "You don't mess with the Jew." The Anti-Defamation League prepares another award for Josh to recognize the leaps forward that are likely to result from his efforts to promote greater understanding among all people. Now Julie talks to Eric, which is apparently some kind of huge deal, because he feels that Julie neglects him. She asks him about the power of veto, and he says: "Let me tell you somethin' about Vito. Vito was not pullin' his weight here, he wasn't doing his share of the chores...Vito had to go." Heh. Okay, I thought that was funny. I'll award the point. It also cracks up the houseguests, especially Josh, who sprawls across the back of the couch and cackles like a loony. And then, in the very best Julie Chen moment of all time thus far (and, I am confident, of all time to come), she says, "Settle down, Beavis." JULIE! That was excellent, especially since I grade Julie on a curve. And again, this cracks up the houseguests. In other news, Julie cracks on Eric about talking in his sleep. The rest of this whole sequence is stultifyingly boring, but that was worth the entire hour.
