At this point, Will very astutely explains to Janelle that what's going wrong with her alliance is that every person in it went and got a spare person -- a "parachute," he calls it -- just in case the alliance went bad. In other words, none of them trusted the alliance, so they're all out scheming on the side. Kaysar got Erika, Janelle got Marcellas, James got Danielle, and Howie got George -- though Will doesn't mention the last one. Instead, he says, "Howie jumped out of the plane without a parachute. He's in his own world." Heh. I personally think George would be better off with a backpack full of encyclopedias than he is with Howie, so maybe Will doesn't think that little arrangement will work both ways for very long. So Will tells Janelle that they all got greedy and fucked up their brilliant and powerful alliance. He suggests that as a result of all this collapse, if she wants to test her alliance, she should put up Danielle and Erika and watch James and Kaysar fight to protect their respective fallback options. Interestingly, Will is pretty strongly pushing to get Erika out, mentioning that nobody would miss her, she's a good player, and she chose to knock out George in the last HoH. Oh, and she'll come after Janelle. Will keeps telling Janelle that he and Mike will swear to be her allies, come rain or come shine. "So you guys will vote the way I want?" she asks. "As a sign of good faith, we will do what you want," he says. He tells her he's true to his word, which he's not, and she says, "What if you're lying to me, Will?" "Then send me home," he says simply. Can always worry about that next week, right?
