Will-Mike phone call. They laugh over the fact that Diane was put up instead of Will, of course, and it's becoming sort of a stale bit. But then Will falls off the front of the seat and falls out of the frame forward, like he's going to nosedive into the camera. Wit, shmit. I love a guy fallin' down!

Thursday

Previously: America got the houseguests it deserved.

Julie Chen, shockingly elegant in a plum-colored top and black pants, explains that James has gone to war against Janelle, and that Diane and Erika are on the block. Furthermore, tonight will be the first live vote. Julie also says that James has now connected with former enemies to go after Janelle.

Blue and white Rehash-O-Veto. Danielle hugs Diane as we slide to color. "Janelle didn't put me up!" Will says in disbelief in the DR. "What a sucker!" He goes on to observe that her alliance is also starting to come apart, and he's the one doing the breaking. As the houseguests sit around the living room after the veto competition, Howie -- currently wearing a pink baseball cap sideways -- reaches down and starts rubbing Will's shin. Will looks down at Howie's hand with some confusion, and then Howie says, "Did you shave your front part down?" I think Howie and I need to have a little discussion about boundaries. "My body hair," Will says carefully, "has nothing to do with you." And then he regards Howie for a moment and says, "You're like Charles Manson without the organizational abilities." Boy, Manson is really taking a beating this year. "You're like Ted Bundy without the ability to rap out with girls. Clearly, you're a criminal. You've just not done that big thing that's going to put you over the edge and require lifelong incarceration." Howie pauses. "Lifelong incarceration?" he asks. "Yeah," Will says. "That sucks," Howie says thoughtfully, imagining many years in which he will not be able to stroke Will's legs. "You would love jail," Will says encouragingly. "You could work out, wear ugly clothes, kiss boys...it's your niche." This gets a cackle from Mike and Kaysar, and reasonably so. I can't tell how much Will dislikes that because it's creepy and inappropriate and how much he dislikes it because he can't stand Howie, but he's right on both counts.
