Before the vote, Jessie and Spencer get to make their nominee speeches. Jessie gives a shout-out to the folks at home and basically says goodbye to everyone and clams to love them all… every lying one of them. Spencer also addresses his homies and tells everyone he hopes to stay a lot longer. This will not be a suspenseful vote, so let's get it over with. Amanda goes to the DR first, and obnoxiously votes out "Jessie, duh." So do McCrae, Aaryn, Helen (also obnoxiously), Elissa (cringingly as always) and GinaMarie from behind a giant pair of Coke bottle glasses that have more glare than a J.J. Abrams movie. So that's another unanimous vote, not that Jessie's going anywhere until after the ad break.
At which point, Jessie doesn't look too shocked at being evicted on a 6-0 vote. She hugs everyone goodbye, grabs her bag, and heads out in what was an ill-advisedly short dress for perching on a high stool next to Julie. Julie asks her why she decided to get confrontational when she knew she was leaving. Jessie basically says she just wanted to make some impression somehow, and mix things up after this string of unanimous evictions. She gives herself credit for making Helen's perch at the top a little shakier, unaware that was happening anyway. Julie asks her why she was such an outsider in the house. Uh, because she's annoying? But Jessie has no idea, saying that there was no loyalty in the house no matter what side she repeatedly jumped back and forth to. Julie asks what it's going to be like when she sees Judd in the jury house, and she says it'll be pretty awkward, especially now that she's heard Judd was after her.
Moving on to the farewell messages. Amanda says that this is what happens to people who mess with Amanda, and everyone else was lying to Jessie. "At least you knew where my head was at." Aaryn lies that she considers Jessie a great friend, and Andy says that Jessie isn't aware of a lot of what's happening in the house (so true) adding that he carried Jessie as far as he could. Which I'm sure she appreciates. Helen says she knows Jessie wanted Amanda out, "And so did I" (!) but she needed her in the game. Jessie looks a little vindicated at that. Julie invites Jessie to share her final thoughts and she basically says she has no regrets, even though she was a Jordan without a Jeff who tried to play like a Dan. Those are my words, not hers.
For the HoH competition, there's a big fake theater proscenium set up in the back yard. On the stage is a pair of game consoles where the remaining seven players (who aren't outgoing HoH Andy) will compete against each other two at a time. For each round, a song will play about one of the competitions that have taken place this summer, and the first one to buzz in with the correct answer (HoH, Have/Have-Not or Veto) gets to stay in the game and pick the two players for the next round. If you buzz in with the wrong answer you're out, and if nobody buzzes in then both players are out. Helen and GinaMarie were randomly selected to go first, so here they go. It's a song about the slip & slide HoH challenge, and GinaMarie bangs the right button. Several times, in fact, probably trying to get the horrible song to stop. Helen goes to sit with Andy, and GinaMarie picks Spencer and Elissa for the next matchup. Spencer gets the right answer, so Elissa's out, and he picks McCrae and GinaMarie. They both bang their buttons several times, but McCrae banged the right one, so he's still in it. He picks Spencer and Aaryn to go against each other, and before this round starts, Julie tells them that the song will play all the way through no matter when they buzz in. I suppose she had to say that or they were going to break those damn buttons. Aaryn beats Spencer on this one, so Amanda and McCrae are up against each other and have to listen to a long, terrible song about the first HoH competition. McCrae has learned his lesson and buzzes in for PoV, throwing the round to Amanda this time. "HAH-ha," she Nelson Muntzes gratefully, after taking forever to get the right answer. It's down to Amanda and Aaryn for the final round, and Amanda is just as slow this time, and Aaryn isn't going to throw this one to Amanda like McCrae did, so Aaryn is HoH for what, the 38th time now?
