Now, Julie turns to Mike, asking him about the moment when the house was haunted last week and he responded by running in a fashion that, among other things, almost flung Janelle and Erika to the floor. It was rather Roadrunner in its way, with his feet very nearly scrabbling in the air about six inches above the floor. She asks whether he believes in "women and children first." I find it a little funny that Julie wants to badly to rag on him for this situation that she reaches all the way back to last week. For whatever reason, the houseguests appear to be in pretty good spirits, all sort of hanging out and laughing at each other in a way that looks fairly good-natured. I wonder what that's about. Maybe they're all drunk.
When we come back from commercials, it's time for reality television's favorite thing: two women playing hard against each other. In other words: Cat fight! Mrrooowwwrr! In this case, we are focused on Janelle and Danielle, whose mothers are about to discuss their rivalry. ("Hisss! Ftt ftt!") We see a scene from the house in which Danielle's fortune cookie talks about taking a pleasant journey to a faraway place, and Janelle weakly says, "Sequester!" She doesn't quite have it in her to make it funny, so it just comes off like she doesn't want anybody to think she's being mean. Kind of passive-aggressive. Danielle doesn't seem to think it's funny.
