Everyone gathers. Erika brings out the box. She tells everyone that she lost a lot of sleep over the decision, and that she's an "emotional person" and an "emotional player," and that she can't "separate the two," as if we didn't know. The first key she pulls out is Danielle. Danielle pulls Mike. Mike pulls Will. So it's Janelle and George on the block, as expected. Erika says that she nominated Janelle because she's a huge threat and so forth. "That's all that it is." She adds that George was nominated because he would have voted to keep Janelle. When Erika has adjourned the meeting, Janelle says that she's going to win PoV and "make a big spectacle of it." As opposed, I guess, to her usual restrained approach. Will says that it's always a miracle when he's not nominated, and that somehow, through Mike's "showmantical work," he escaped again. George calls himself "the 200-pound pawn." That seems like a decent note to go out on for the evening.
The nomination ceremony occurs again in blue and white. We slide to color, and it's Day 54, and Janelle tells us in the DR that she was "annoyed" at Erika for saying she admired the way Janelle played the game in her season. Of course, had Erika not said something like that, Janelle would undoubtedly have been equally annoyed. I think Janelle is annoyed by not getting her way, preferably in the form of Will and Mike making sure she isn't nominated. Janelle says she's sure that she's the target of the nominations. "They want me out of the house," she says. For his part, George tells us that being on the block isn't that bad -- in fact, "you kind of get used to it after a while." Erika tells us that she put Janelle up because Janelle is such a good player, and a threat to win, and Erika thinks that it's time to start taking out people you're afraid can beat you. Will repeats the bit about how it's always an honor not to be nominated, and so forth. He also says that he'd rather have Janelle stay in the house than George, but ultimately, as long as it's not him and it's not Mike, he doesn't really care. I think that one's true, for the most part. Not that it's easy to tell.
George sits with Will and Mike and laughs hysterically, so unable is he to comprehend how they manage to stay around week after week and never get nominated. Mike DRs that George "idolizes" them, and that he was probably the only person who respected what they were capable of. "We are very deadly," Mike says. Eh. Will is deadly. You're just riding in the sidecar in your pointy little hat. "George is the one person who's sort of on to us," Mike adds. Back at the chat in the kitchen, George disbelievingly says, "They don't even mess with the doctor! The baddest player in reality-show history. 'Let's not mess with him, though.'" Of course, George didn't mess with him either. "How the Chill Town [sic] made it this far, I have no idea," George tells us again in the DR. "They're not even nominated!"
