Back from some long-overdue ads, Julie reminds us about the whole saboteur thing before getting on the viewscreen to the houseguests in the living room to break the news. "You all want to win this game, right?" she teases. Everyone says yes, so Julie tells them all that one of them is lying. "In a Big Brother first, there is a saboteur in the house." Wasn't there a brief saboteur (or "saba-twah," as Jamie called it) storyline in season one? Oh, right, we're not supposed to remember that season ever happened. Julie goes on to say that this person, whoever it is, can sabotage an individual, a group, or everyone. And although the saboteur can win Head of Household or the Power or Veto, their only long-term goal is to survive to the halfway point, at which point they'll win $50,000 for themselves. While the houseguests (at least twelve of them) are still digesting that, Julie plays them a "message" from the saboteur, whose voice and silhouette are so scrambled it could be anyone -- or a purely computer-generated character -- telling them he or she can and will strike at any moment. "With a saboteur living in the house, can anyone be trusted?" the figure asks. "Well, there goes our drama-free night," Ragan says into the awkward silence. Hey, you called it.

Rachel DRs that this totally messes up her game; how can she have an alliance or a showmance? She seems most upset about the showmance. Everyone jokes around, and Kathy uses a lot of cop puns in the DR. I'm already tired of her. Ragan finally points out there's nothing they can do about it now. Okay, so commercials then?

Later, Kathy, Matt, and Andrew talk about what the saboteur means, mainly as an artificial break between the last scene and the next one, where Julie calls everyone together to announce the first Head of Household competition. She tells everyone to divide into six teams, and when she says that thirteen people means one will have to sit out, Andrew raises his hand. "That definitely arose a red flag," Enzo DRs, because he doesn't miss anything. Andrew gets to be the "mascot," but isn't eligible for HoH, which makes everyone suspicious of him right off the bat. The teams shuffle a bit onto different couches, and Julie divides them this into red and yellow teams. And then they go into the storeroom to put on their outfits, which in Andrew's case is a big hot dog costume. Obligatory jokes about kosher wieners.
