Late at night, Margene's parked on the sofa by herself in front of the TV, eating pie a la mode, when Nicki comes in to ask for a minute with Bill. Margene brightly says she doesn't know where Bill is right now, which kind of offends Nicki. "Honestly, how do you lose Bill on your night?" she demands. Wasn't last night also Margene's night? "I just don't keep him on a leash?" Margene says through a mouthful of pie. Nicki seems to take offense at the implication, but Margene just gives her a come on, now smile, quite a feat when your face is stuffed with pie. Nicki wants Bill to call her when he gets in. Margene salutes with her spoon and sings, "Don't wait up." And don't expect to find out what Nicki wanted to talk to him about, either, because we're not going to.
