As Jaime is watching a burn disappear instantly from her hand, Becca emerges. Jaime explains that she's making breakfast for them, and she wants to apologize for barging in on the makeout session. Becca passive-aggressives (as usual) that everything is fine, whatever, you know, MAYBE SHE'LL GO LIVE WITH DAD. Okay, she doesn't say that. Becca casually claims she met the make-out guy on the internet, then admits she's only kidding, because Jaime is so utterly aghast. I don't know. The men I have met on the internet are a mixed bag to a degree I cannot possibly quantify (whatever the human-being equivalent is of soup to nuts or A to Z or the insanely, life-alteringly sublime to the fucking godawful enough-to-make-you-go-analog ridiculous, is what I'm saying), so I'm not sure how well this joke holds up. Becca also asks if Jaime thinks she's "retarded," marking one of the first times I've seen "retarded," clearly on the rise slang-wise after a long period of exile, make an appearance in prime time. Go "retarded"! I...suppose. Jaime tells Becca that she's going to Napa on a little trip to celebrate with Law School Friend. Becca doesn't question this.
At Berkut, Jaime gets the lowdown on the mission from Antonio. He talks about how they'll be in a little plane landing on an airstrip, and not in the 747 she was expecting as a result of being a total moron. He tells her that an "asset" of his, a local cop, will lead them to Stevens. Jaime says this is all fine, but asks for anti-anxiety meds. Perhaps they should reassure her that in the case of an emergency, an oxygen mask will drop directly from her own chest. Just then, Starbot is wheeled by, strapped to a board. Golly. "Hi, Jaime," Starbot says. "How's it going? You look greeeat! How's Becca?" I was really disappointed that they went for the slightly menacing sister mention at the end, because when Starbot was just being like, "Hey, girlfriend, how are you? I'm just strapped to this board...," it was funnier. Antonio tells Jaime they've got to go; Jonas will deal with the 'bot.
