So LMJ strides by Dinah, who then kicks him in the back, so I guess she was tricking him. Only the force of her kick sends him right at Hawke, and just as you're thinking, "Oh, good one, Dinah," Hawke gives him a hands-clasped two-fisted blow that knocks LMJ down the stairwell, and now you're thinking, "This guy really isn't much of a hitman, is he?" Dinah and Hawke haul ass down the street; Dinah contacts Oracle to let her know she's with Hawke and give her their location. "I think I pissed off that hitman a little," says Dinah, which made me laugh. LMJ's now chasing them, and Barbara tells her not to lose him. "Head two blocks east to the hospital," she says. "Thanks for the vote of confidence!" yells Dinah, but Barbara tells her it's an abandoned hospital. Naturally. There's never a shortage of abandoned buildings around when a bad guy needs to get his ass kicked.
Hawke and Dinah arrive at the hospital, which is remarkably well-lit for a supposedly abandoned building, and there's also scaffolding around like there's construction going on. Fortunately, the front door to this supposedly abandoned or possibly under renovations hospital is unlocked, and they dash inside. Barbara directs them downstairs into the old radiology room and tells Dinah to shut the door. She does so with her mind, slamming it right in LMJ's face. Behind him, out of nowhere, is Helena. "What's the matter, hospitals make you nervous? Or are you just allergic to the lead-lined walls?" she says. Her dry, cool wit is interrupted by Barbara clarifying that he isn't allergic, but the molecular composition of lead impedes his molecular dispersion, which is certainly a nice convenient weakness, and can I just ask what is it about lead that comic books love, anyway? Superman couldn't see through lead, and, um…well, I guess that's it. Anyway. LMJ looks around and sees nothing but three lead-lined doors around him. The only way out? Through Helena. He slides a gurney at her, which she easily hops over, and they start to fight, Jesse finally arriving to help -- and by "help," I mean "punch once" -- as Helena finishes LMJ off with a series of kicks that knock him against the radiology door. He starts to go through it, but since the lead impedes his molecular whatever, he becomes frozen in the door, looking a lot like when Boba Fett froze Han Solo in the carbonite.
It's been suggested on the boards that LMJ committed suicide by knowingly trying to go through the lead-lined door, but since his whole thing was "I never quit," I don't buy that. It's pretty obvious it was the force of Helena's kick that carried him into the door, especially since she quips, "Guess I finally found the right wall to throw someone into," and smiles, while you're thinking, "I know that was a bad guy, but I think you just killed him, Helena." Reese pops into the radiology room to make sure his dad is okay, and everybody stares at the nifty body-frozen-in-the-door prop.
