Do we really need to see exactly the same annoying Catherine Zeta-Jones commercial twice in the same break? Couldn't we have some extended footage of Kristin Kreuk, scantily clad? Oh, don't give me that look. ["Isn't Kristin Kreuk, like, eleven? I hope your girlfriend doesn't read these recaps, you perv." -- Wing Chun]
Back from commercials, the fight scene kicks in to a really bad song with very prominent and distracting vocals, and whoever pegged this song as a bad Les Savy Fav rip-off was right on. Things to note: repeated lyric: "Is it worth my time?" which had me saying "no" every single time. Also, how annoying was the Crawler saying, "So you're Darkstrike's little bitch?" Pretty annoying, but not as much as Helena responding with, "We're just friends...and I'm nobody's bitch" and kicking him through a window and off a balcony, but when she looks down, he's nowhere to be found, just like Michael Myers at the end of Halloween. Helena runs back into the room to free Amy, who's looked kind of dopey throughout. There's a pounding at the door. Then Dinah and Darkstrike come running in, and I could have sworn Helena already busted the door down, but there's no way the perfectionist writers of this fine show would ever make such a dumb mistake, right? Helena says she's fine and asks what happened to Darkstrike. "He hit me on the head. One minute I'm right behind you, the next I'm flat on my back," he says, which doesn't sound at all suspicious or anything. Helena yells for Oracle that they'll need an ambulance for Amy, who's in shock. Helena says Amy won't be able to tell them anything tonight. Dinah says, "I could find out what she knows, my way." Helena doesn't think that's a good idea, but Dinah says she could find out information like where the Crawler lives and what kind of car he drives, and I think her interest in the car the Crawler drives shows what a small-town girl Dinah is at heart. Dinah convinces Helena by saying, "We could stop this from happening again." So Helena agrees to let Dinah do her freaky mind-meld thing. Dinah places her hand over Amy's, and sees the attack happening in the car, then the Crawler drinking his glass of wine, then a mirror image of DARKSTRIKE drinking a glass of wine, and the images run together and Dinah's thrown back, passing out. Helena frantically tries to revive her, with Oracle asking if she's all right. Darkstrike tells Helena to take Dinah back to the Clocktower, while he waits with Amy for the ambulance. Bye-bye, Amy.
