Okay, for the last five minutes of this show, there are many things happening, and many POVs, and through it all the most annoying, repetitive ten-second clip of "hip-hop" plays over and over and over and over. It's a montage split into three "real-time" scenes, but without the glory of Kiefer. I hate this show.
Chronic shuffles his Dead Man Walkin'.
The chamber. A needle in Chronic's arm. Chronic's also still walking. I guess the gas chamber's just for show, huh?
The vials of lethal liquids. The phones that won't ring. Chronic's still walking.
The chamber closes. Chronic's on a table. Overhead shot of Chronic.
McNorris and Andrea chit-chat. Overhead shot of Chronic. Preparing the injection.
Heart monitor. Chronic's arm has the needle. The curtain's pulled back. The music stops. The warden announces the lethal injection. He asks Chronic if he has any last words. Chronic looks over at McNorris, his mouth open.
Officer Norville. The title card squeezes to half the screen as we watch a thug wheel Norville around on his Texas Chainsaw Massacre meat hook through the old grocer kitchen. The thug says Chronic spent a lot of cash to get a straight line to a cop. Norville's pretty fucked up, but I guess he's listening to the thug, who does the typical "Here's who set you up, I must kill you now" thing. Someone from the inside is dirty.
The warden asks Chronic if he has any last words. Chronic licks his lips, smiles, and we go to split-screen, and we watch Chronic lean back happily as McNorris begins to freak out. Chronic laughs. McNorris says Chronic was supposed to say something. McNorris tries to figure out the phones.
Norville promises not to tell anybody if they let him go. The thug says he knows Norville isn't going to tell anybody, because he's fixin' to be dead.
Cop cars are finally dispatched.
Split-screen. The thug leans in close to Norville as the cop cars park outside the store.
The music starts up again as the thug asks Norville if he wants to know who the dirty cop is.
The thug raises his gun to Norville's side. The warden watches Chronic. The music, still playing.
In slow motion, the thug whispers in Norville's ear.
They're pumping chemicals into Chronic's arm. McNorris walks and stares. The "System On" button flashes, so we know someone's fixin' to die.
Fearless, Wahlberg, and the cops rush toward the store.
Must have been a long name. The thug just finishes telling Norville who the dirty cop is. Norville grabs the gun and pushes it aside. The thug wrestles with him. The other thugs, from wherever the fuck they've been all this damn time, rush in. Norville starts pumping bullets from the thug's gun.
