It's also the sound of a gunshot, killing Flood. He falls to the ground in front of Les as Ray cowers. Flood begins walking toward Ray, who pulls himself into the air on the pole and kicks Flood in the face. Where's everyone else? Why didn't anybody scream in response to the gunshots? What the hell is going on? Ray calls Les a hero.
Spath. This is Eat Me's name. He's coming out of the back room with a duffel bag, I guess full of money. Wasn't he supposed to be in the van already? Anyway, the place is now totally empty. This is really confusing -- even more so for Spath, who can't figure out where everyone went, either. He asks Flood where he's at. He sees Flood dead on the ground. After running and crouching, Ray shoots him in the chest. He hits the ground. Les runs up saying, "You got him, Ray! You got him!" Ray yells at Les not to approach him, since he's got a vest, but Spath's already up with Les in a headlock, a gun to Les's head. "Drop your gun," he says to Ray. "Get real," Ray says back. No, you get real, writers. Spath says he'll kill Les. Ray says he'll kill Spath. Spath says he wants to know what happened to Flood, or he'll kill Les. Isn't it obvious, Spath? "Lock and Load!" Ray starts shouting. This means absolutely nothing to Les, but Ray just keeps on shouting it. "Lock and Load! Lock and Load!" "That's it," Spath says, and there's a gunshot from behind, through the plate glass window. Spath has been shot in the head, and he goes down. Les turns around and sees the shattered plate glass. Ray grabs his gun and gives an "all clear" sign to outside. Ray congratulates Les. "What were you saying?" Les asks, shocked. "Lock and Load," Ray tells him. Les asks why. Ray reminds him that was his line in the show when he wanted someone to take cover. Les says he thought Ray was saying "Rock and Roll."
Tom. Flashback Film. Gedrick answers his cell phone. It's Ray, calling Cherie, saying that he's got some trouble at work, and he might not make it home, but that there's money under the camping gear. Gedrick understands the code. There's like, only six media people there, which is funny. Gedrick calls the captain.
Flash-forward, Flashback Film, even though we've never seen this scene before. Gedrick and Wahlberg stand over a sniper, who's training his gun at a space underneath the camping-equipment sign in the store. There's Ray, Spath, and Les in the hostage situation from seconds ago. Fearless gives Wahlberg the green light. "Take the shot," Wahlberg says, and the sniper shoots. Spath goes down. Ray gives the "all clear" signal.
