Joel. Wahlberg again? Jeez. We're in the interrogation room, and Wahlberg's asking Dr. D how she lines up people to buy babies. Did he go straight from Trumper's office to here? Man, Wahlberg moves quickly. And where's Kelly? More importantly, where's their son been during all of this? Dr. D says she arranges a deal for people who want to have children to adopt a baby from people who don't want to have children. Like junkies. Wahlberg asks if Dr. D offered this deal to Janice, who didn't want to do it -- who wanted to keep her baby. Wahlberg asks if Dr. D drugged Janice, induced labor, and took the baby. "I rescued it," says Dr. D. She gave an innocent child a chance at a good life. Wahlberg's screaming now, "What gives you the right to make that decision? What gives you the right to take a baby away from its mother?" Dr. D says there's no way that "precious little baby" would be better off with a welfare mother who may or may not stay off the junk than with a loving family who will give her all the opportunities in the world. "Right, 'cause only your rich friends can provide that, huh?" Wahlberg whispers. Dr. D goes in for the kill: "I had a woman come into the clinic. A crackhead. Swore she was off the pipe for a year. She had the baby, everything's fine, and then she decides to celebrate. Went on an eight-day binge. You know the punchline? The baby died." Wahlberg winces, which was my reaction upon hearing the words "You know the punchline?" Dr. D continues. "But get this? She never left the apartment. Her baby was ten feet away from her. In the next room. Taking her last breath and she had no idea. They called it an accident? I call it criminal neglect." See? Kelly's no better than a crackhead. And I can't believe they're reusing the "taking her last breath" line, as if it was that good or something. Wahlberg: "It's not just crack babies who die from SIDS, doctor." Word. I mean...huh? Are you threatening to kill her? Give her the SIDS? Fearless's powder blue tracksuit interrupts Dr. D's self-righteous blabbering. "He's here," Fearless says. Well, no more dealing with those nasty criminals. It's time to talk about our own lives again. Wahlberg leaves the room with Fearless. Run, Dr. D! You're totally free to go!
