Cut to Junkie Dad. He bangs his chest, boasting, "I keep track of my seed, man." He says he totally knew he was the father of Janice's baby. Fearless asks if he was with Janice this morning. Junkie Dad says he was fertilizing elsewhere. He says that Janice called on his cell phone asking for some heroin since she was in labor. Junkie Dad says he wasn't dealing anymore, and he told her so. Then Janice offered him the kid in exchange for the "Mexican mud." He says, "Not exactly Mother of the Year material." He says he "clicked off he cell" and went back to having sex with a woman named Wilma. Hello, awkward writing -- Fearless: "Hey, I think you took that baby." Huh? Junkie Dad: "Ey. Wha. Wha, wh-wh-what, I'm a, I'm a baby guy now? I mean, come on, man. I didn't even see the thing, much less want it. What are you, kidding me? Yo, maybe the next dealer on her speed dial did it. All right? May, may, maybe he was some guy with daddy fever or something." He's a "baby guy"? Anyway, the Chief pokes his head in and tells Wahlberg to come to his office, prompting Junkie Dad to tease Wahlberg for being in trouble. "Ooh. You gotta stay after school."
I don't understand why this show has a door in the middle of a wall that's open on one side. They just walk right past the door. Anyway, Wahlberg gets taken into the office. Fearless watches from the fake door. Ray: "So, you think Junkie Boy has that baby?" Fearless: "I don't know. He says he doesn't." Well, case closed, then. Gedrick asks what Trumper's doing there. Trumper's the IA guy from the episode where Wahlberg had to interrogate everyone, remember? Ray says he'd better call his union rep. Fearless straightens his ugly cap and tells Ray that Trumper isn't here for him.
Trumper flushes a urinal. Fearless enters with Ray and Gedrick, telling Trumper he's got some little balls. Trumper says hello. Ray asks what he's doing there, if he's not there for him. Trumper says he's sure he'll be there for Ray again soon. Fearless tells Ray and Gedrick that Trumper's going after Wahlberg. Ray asks if it's because Wahlberg forgot to say "bless you" when someone sneezed. Okay. Fearless tells us that Trumper re-opened the investigation into the death of Wahlberg's baby. Ray says he's reminded why Trumper's so universally hated around here. The men close in around Trumper, asking how he sleeps at night. Trumper says this loyalty is touching, but before they judge him, they might want to check out some facts. Fearless: "'Facts'! What facts? Man's baby dies! You wanna bring all that up again?" Trumper: "Was the death natural?" Fearless: "You tryin' to imply the man killed his own child?!" Apparently, the coroner's report on Wahlberg's baby is missing. Fearless makes a face that reads he instantly knows that not only did crazy Kelly kill the baby, but Wahlberg stole the file to cover up the fact. Nice work, partner.
