Before we begin: Worst Episode Title Ever.
Is it worth it? Let me work it. Put the show down, flip it and reverse it. pavement the hits boot smoking a and explodes meth-lab A. pavement the hits boot smoking a and explodes meth-lab A. Then we get the entire scene backwards in fast motion: A guy runs out the door and hauls ass away. The station wagon drives away. Someone gets into the station wagon. There's some bickering at the station wagon between two people. A man runs out of the trailer holding boxes. A man runs from the station wagon into the trailer. A station wagon drives up. A man walks from the trailer to a warehouse across the lot. A man walks from the lot to the trailer, talking on his cell phone. He's talking to someone named Pinky, who's apparently his little brother. He lies and says he's finishing up some contract work on this really big mansion, and he's putting in gardens and a waterfall. At first glance, I think he's Jess, but then I see he's a Latino actor without enough talent. He even makes the affectionate nickname "Stinker" sound obvious. The sad music of Impending Death plucks away as the guy gets off the phone. He puts the cell phone in his pocket, slowly, obviously, until we pan down to the man's red cowboy boots...the same one that was smoking in our faces just moments ago. pavement the hits boot smoking a and explodes meth-lab A. pavement the hits boot smoking a and explodes meth-lab A.
Tom. Sex in a police car. "Did you get there?" Gedrick asks. "I got there," she answers , pulling herself off him. I'm calling bullshit on this one. They've set up that Gedrick was gay a long time ago, and I think it sucks that someone made the writers make him not gay. It pisses me off. At least they made him a bad lover. Did she "get there"? Gedrick, open your eyes or something. Jesus. He semi-pushes her out of his car and hands over her belt. She leaves.
Cut to Ray, upset that Gedrick's thinking of quitting his new-to-us playboy ways, and settling down. Ray gives the ultimate clichéd line that his married ass has to live vicariously through Gedrick's random sex acts. Gedrick informs us that this is getting out of control. Who knew? "Promiscuity's wasted on the single," Ray says. Good writing's wasted on The Shield. A druggie man pulls back a sheet used as a front door. He sees the cops standing there and opens the sliding glass door. Ray informs the John Hawkes-looking guy that they got a domestic-disturbance call this morning. Druggie guy says there's no problem at all, officer, no problem at all, so Gedrick asks if they can come in. The man lets them inside, as all crooks and criminals do in their infinite dumbness. Dumb Druggie tells "Sally baby" that they have company. She makes an obvious finger point towards somewhere else in the trailer. You know this actress as Sherry Stringfield's shitty druggie sister Chloe on ER. They both overact that there was no kind of domestic disturbance, and how ridiculous that notion could be, even when Gedrick points out the broken window and the shattered glass. Ray asks if she was "dusting" this morning. Eventually they ask the tweekers when was the last time they smoked crystal meth. Insert a few drug jokes here, like when Ray calls him "Speedy Gonzales." Both druggies continue to act dumb until they notice something going on outside and have no choice but to do some crazy druggie action -- Sally Baby jumps on Gedrick's back while Honey Bunny tries to hold Ray back. Crazy screaming antics ensue. Aren't druggies fun?
