Ronnie asks Fearless to leave him alone. Fifteen years, Fearless has been ignoring him. Ronnie reminds Fearless that Ronnie's mother died three years ago. "Have a good life," he says, and walks away. Fearless shouts out the date Ronnie's mother died. He says he sent flowers to Ronnie's sister's house. It's just been a long time and he'd forgotten: "It's been a bad night. And I'm getting old." Ronnie says he was going to tell Fearless just that. Fearless and Ronnie get stopped by a guard saying, "Restricted Area." Ronnie says he can't tell Fearless anything because he's too old to be told inside information. Fearless asks whether there are any gang members posing as police officers. Ronnie says he wouldn't tell Fearless that information. But then he does, and says of course there are, but not any who are in his gangs. He tells Fearless that Norville was killed by Chronic's thugs not by random, but a setup by someone inside: "AK's paid a lot of money for it. Two weeks of crack profits." Ronnie says that this is all third-party information. Fearless asks why Ronnie didn't call and tell him. Because it's been fifteen years since you talked to him and you didn't go to his mama's funeral? Ronnie says it's not his job to call Fearless. And isn't this all information we knew last week? Why is this episode even here? "Oh, God," Fearless says. "Oh, God, indeed," Ronnie answers. NO. FIRE THE WRITERS. Fearless is furious that there's a gang in the city with a cop on the payroll. Yeah, I'm sure there's just one. Sometimes with these guys, it's like they've never actually lived in Los Angeles, read a book, seen a television show, or met a criminal. ["Well, one of the creators of the show is Canadian. So that might be true." -- Wing Chun]
