The female recruits stand in formation outside the men's barracks. DI Francisco tries to get Yaney to call out his teammates. Yaney pokes his head in the door and yells, "Let's go, g-guys!" DI Francisco starts reprimanding him while all of the female recruits choke back laughter. The more they try not to giggle, the harder they laugh. In an interview, DI Francisco says that "there's always a Gomer Pyle," and that Yaney is it for this group, but that he likes Yaney because, "he's got a lot of heart." Yaney finally gets the phrasing right and the male recruits run out while the female recruits continue to giggle. DI Francisco gives a big sigh. DI McSweeney yells at Whitlow about her hat and makes her do push-ups. In an interview, Wolf makes an endless and ultimately not very interesting analogy about Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom. It all boils down to the fact that Wolf feels like nothing he ever does will be enough to please DI McSweeney. Speak of the devil. DI McSweeney screams at Lauder because he lost his flashlight, and then makes him do push-ups. Poor Lauder is so hoarse that his responses are more like squeaks. In an interview, Moretty says that she wishes DI McSweeney would yell at her from far away, because he has "stinky breath" and spits on her. She concludes, "I can't stand him. He's evil. He is. I don't even think his mother loves him." Ha! She said all that with a perfectly straight face. I think she might be one of my favorites.
