Now everyone has to try to climb a rope. Some on-screen text reads, "Haar on Medical Leave." Cut to an interview with Haar where she says that if she tries to do the drills and gets hurt even worse, she "won't be any good to anybody." Haar sounds frustrated that she can only sit there and watch. In an interview, Brown says that "you can't be gone for four days," because it's not fair that they all have to work hard while Haar sits there and heals. Brown falls from pretty high up on the rope, and then insists that she's okay. In an interview, Jackson says that Haar was dead weight, but no one wanted to vote her off, because they figured that they could put it off. Thomson gets about a foot off the ground and can't go any further, so DI McSweeney orders him to do push-ups instead. I notice that Haar is the first to join in counting out his push-ups, which probably didn't earn her any love from Thomson.
The recruits have to run up over a dirt hill. In an interview, Pupo says that she strained her groin while doing it, and that it was very painful. We see her going over the hill and she looks totally fine to me. A nurse helps Pupo walk to the medical center. Inside, Pupo sits with her legs spread wide apart and an ice pack on her groin. So ladylike. Ah, she probably doesn't care, right? In an interview, Yaney says that sometimes people fake injuries, and maybe Pupo is lying, or maybe she's telling the truth. Nice glasses, Yaney.
4:00 PM. Thomson Goes to Medic. Man, they are dropping like flies. DI Francisco asks Thomson if he's ever had high blood pressure before. Thomson hasn't. DI Francisco determines that Thomson's hands and feet have swelled up and orders him to the medic to have his blood pressure checked. At the medic, Thomson explains that his extremities are numb and tingling. The doctor suggests that Thomson go to a local facility to get it checked out. For some reason, Wolf and Yaney are there with him. In an interview, Thomson says that he came there "planning to dominate physically," but it's not happening. Maybe he should have done a little less planning and a little more training. Thomson is worried that he's "a weak link." Hutak comes in to check on Thomson, who says that he feels okay mentally, and that he'll be better soon. Unless he goes to the hospital, I guess.
Night Seven. 6:00 PM. Mission Briefing. My boyfriend, DI Rosenbum, is giving Hutak the instructions for Operation M.E.S.S. (Military Extraction of Secret Serum). The scenario is that the squad has been fatally poisoned, and they have to infiltrate an enemy town to locate the antidote. They need to enter the town through a maze of sewers and find "City Hall," where the serum will be. Then, they will get further instructions to help them locate some tablets, which they will also need. All of the squad members need to consume the "antidote" within an hour for the mission to be successful.
