DI Francisco orders DI Rosenbum to deliver the dismissed recruit. DI Rosenbum asks Moretti why he should be allowed to stay. Moretti says that he feels he's the most disciplined recruit. DI Rosenbum makes a passing remark to Whitlow that amnesty feels good. DI Rosenbum asks Wolf whether he will be allowed to stay. Wolf says that he requests to be in The Gauntlet, but that it's in the hands of the other recruits now. DI Rosenbum asks Moretty whether she's nervous and scared. Moretty says that she is, because she doesn't want to be dismissed, but that it's quite possible she will be tonight. DI Rosenbum returns to Wolf and whispers, "Guess what, Wolf?" Wolf's face falls. DI Rosenbum whispers again, "Guess what, Wolf?" Wolf replies, "Yes, sir!" DI Rosenbum whispers, "Do you want to take a guess?" Wolf replies, "No, sir." DI Rosenbum whispers, "You're still here. It's not you." Wolf looks immensely relieved. I love when DI Rosenbum whispers.
DI Rosenbum walks over to Moretti and informs him that he is the dismissed recruit. Moretti walks out front and we learn that the other three all voted for Moretti. Yikes. Moretti addresses his former squad. He is surprised to be there, and the others "strategized" better than he did. He regrets having to take someone with him, and he hopes that the person he chooses will understand. Then he tells the DIs that he will never forget them, and that he hopes to speak to them again. Everyone is tearing up. Moretti announces that he will be taking Moretty with him because he feels that Wolf best exemplified what the DIs taught them. Well, I guess that's kind of true. I wonder what Moretti thinks now that he knows Wolf voted for him, though. Moretti voted for Moretty, in case you were wondering.
DI Francisco informs Wolf and Whitlow that The Gauntlet begins now. They gaze up at the sky. What are they looking at?
Next week: The two-hour finale! The Gauntlet. Seven grueling events. Then the people who were pulled out (not voted out) get to vote on the winner -- Pupo, Thomson, Hutak, Yaney (yay!), Brown, and Moretty. Brown and Yaney both give little speeches, and then the winner is announced.
