Whitlow voice-overs that when all four DIs were there, she remembered the first day, when DI Francisco told the recruits that they could give up on themselves, but that the DIs would never give up on them. In an interview, DI Rosenbum says that he's "not the kind of guy that gets teary-eyed, but [he] felt a little shake in [his] eye, of pride." Aw. Whitlow reaches the kayak, and says that it was "one of the best moments at boot camp," because she was alone to deal with what she had just gone through. The DIs yell encouragement to her across the lake. Whitlow reaches the other side of the lake. She voice-overs that hearing DI Francisco's voice at the finish line was like hearing him say that he was proud of her. Whitlow crosses the finish line at one hour and twenty-seven minutes. DI Francisco tells her that it was "outstanding," and he doesn't know how she did it, but she did it. In an interview, DI Francisco says that he's had some great days in his life, and that this was one he'll never forget. In an interview, Whitlow looks exhausted and says that she's ready for boot camp to be over. She claims that getting over the wall shows how much she wants to win, but even if she doesn't, getting over the wall is worth more to her than the money. Hey, she's tired. She's not thinking straight. DI Rosenbum informs Whitlow and Wolf that they will be going to Dismissal Hill next. Whitlow and Wolf try to grab a few seconds of shut-eye in the truck, as we are reminded that Wolf leads six to one going into Dismissal Hill. However, the recruits don't know the outcome of four of the events. In other words, Whitlow needs to get all six votes to win, but she doesn't know it yet. It's not looking good.
I so have to watch Cops with the snake guy.
Day Thirty. The Gauntlet: Final Event. Final Dismissal Hill. 11:00 PM. DI Francisco welcomes everyone back, and then congratulates Whitlow and Wolf for completing The Gauntlet. We're reminded who was discharged and why. Haar discharged Pupo for not being a team player and having attitude. Thomson was medically discharged. Lauder discharged Hutak for being a "pushy woman." Jerk. I still haven't gotten over that one. Coddington discharged Yaney for reasons we still haven't figured out. Jackson discharged Brown so that he could look out for his own. Moretti discharged Moretty because that was the way he felt. I don't know what that means. It's now time for the discharged recruits to vote. Yaney looks really uncomfortable. Each recruit comes up and writes down a name.
