The recruits stand on the beach, soaking wet, and DI McSweeney advises them to move around to stay warm. He, meanwhile, is standing ankle-deep in the water, wearing only shorts and a t-shirt. The people on the forums who are in love with him and call him things like "McSweetie" must be loving this one. I don't see it, but whatever floats your boat. I just wish it were DI Rosenbum. DI McSweeney orders the recruits back into the water, but Jackson inexplicably stays behind. DI McSweeney can't believe Jackson can't "gut this out," and orders Jackson to sit on the beach. In an interview, Moretty is also surprised, especially because they might need this training for their mission, and because Jackson didn't get any punishment for his refusal. In an interview, DI McSweeney explains that Jackson was hurting himself, because it would hurt his standing in the squad. DI McSweeney tells the recruits that they have to beat him to the beach, or they'll have to go back in the water. In an interview, Jackson says that he doesn't want to have to "die of hypothermia." Oh, come on. If that were really a danger, I think they would have postponed the exercise. They've certainly been more than understanding of others' physical problems. Jackson is dumb, dumb, and dumb. Especially after Coddington got voted off last week, mostly out of resentment for her lack of participation. In an interview, Moretty says that it's not fair that Jackson wasn't punished, proving DI McSweeney's point. And then the alligator is swimming! In the pond!
Day Twenty-One. 3:00 PM. Ten Mile March. DI Rosenbum sings a cadence, and then in an interview, explains what a cadence is. I'm going to assume that you all know what it is. Moretty takes over the cadence, and starts singing about Jackson, and how he's a good singer. In an interview, DI Francisco says that Jackson is the best at singing cadence. We hear Jackson doing just that as the recruits continue their march. He is really good. I would be good at that too -- I make up songs all the time. Mostly, they're about my cats. Shut up.
6:15 PM. Evening Chow. Jackson complains to the others that he had to do cadence for so long, and that the tasks aren't evenly distributed. He goes on and on about how unfair things are. I don't understand how he has gotten this far in the game, and could make such a tactical error. Bitching and moaning aren't going to win him any friends. Tough it out for a few more days. With the dwindling squad numbers, you don't want to give people any reason, no matter how miniscule, to vote you off.
