Back in court. Scott and Marla wonder if "this can have any effect." The "this" in question seems to be the fact that half of Winslow High is now in the courtroom. Armin Shimerman is not impressed, and asks if the prosecutor has "brought evidence in addition to moral support." She says, "We already give reasons why Amaad is bad man, and tribunal must say those reason good enough." The judge doesn't see it that way: "Only mouth-to-ear things prove thunder-stick firing in house of spirits. No things at all prove sharp-steel battle." Basically, as the judge notes, the arrest was premature, and they should have waited until they had more evidence before moving forward. Just then, Jamal enters, in shackles. Someone whispers to the prosecutor. "Who dares enter my tribunal?" says the judge. "Man enters with evidence of his eyes!" says the prosecutor. Evil Lawyer wants the court to investigate whether Jamal is here under duress, but the judge is not inclined to do so, and says Jamal can testify. However, Scott has received a call on his cell phone, and gets up to announce that this witness may not be necessary: "The victim has woken up. Harry Senate is conscious." The room erupts into cheers. Except Amaad. He still looks mad.
ICU. Steven gives Harry something to drink, and tells him he needs his rest. "I've been asleep for two days. Who did you give my class to?" Steven says nobody, as he's been here the whole time. The door opens, and Scott, Ronnie, and the rest of the gang come in to say hello. "Oh god, not another birthday party." Heh. Ronnie and Harry banter about how terrible he looks. Steven sobs in the corner. "Is he crying?" "Yeah, he's a big baby." Dick Teachie asks Harry how he's feeling. He says, "Meh." Marla says hello. Harvey says he's had to go two days without a brain teaser. Harry asks him what his middle initial is. Lauren says hey. Harry says, "Hey, Lauren." The doctor comes in and says he needs to kick everybody out, except one person. "Steven, I guess your time's up." Steven welcomes Harry back, and shakes Harry's hand. "Harry, I love you man." "Me too." Harry then gets the funniest line of the entire season. "Just one, huh, doc? Is, uh, is Dana Poole around, or ?" BWA HA HA! Ronnie tells him that Slow-lita's not around, and he'll have to try again. "You'll do." Harvey says, "E. My middle initial is E."
The halls of Winslow. Rock music blares. Pandemonium erupts. Lauren heads into the vice-office and asks Scott if he knows what's going on out there. "I do. It's good for them. We could all use a release. I'm certainly looking forward to mine tonight." Lauren's smile fades. Scott sputters, "I didn't mean I just meant after I left work." Lauren says that now that Harry is out of the woods, "I'm not really feeling like I need to sleep with you tonight." Scott says, "Oh. All right. Oh." He tries to hide his disappointment, but can't, quite. "That being said," she continues, "I'd still like to." Scott says, "Oh. Oh! So we're on?" "We're on." Lauren goes. Scott smiles at the absurdity of life on this show.
