The Charity Show. The kid playing Anthony Heald orders the kid playing Milton Buttle to get out of a horse's ass. He's got the clipped tones down perfectly. A girl playing Cheryl Holt is lying unconscious on the stage. "I think the horse kicked her," says non-Anthony Heald. In the audience, The Proposition Fairy tells Milton to "pretend to enjoy it. Rise above." Then the kid playing Harry Senate shoots the horse more times than is strictly necessary. The real Harry Senate grins, proud of his madness.

Steve's office. Anthony Heald comes in and says, "They're about to present the check." Steven tells him to accept it on his own; he's got to talk to Susan Potter and her parents. "Are you sure you don't need me?" says Anthony Heald. Um, not in the way you seem to mean, Guber. But Steve doesn't pick up on the innuendo, and tells Anthony Heald to go accept the check. Big Boy, or, as we will now call him, Licky D wanders by the office, and Steven flags him down. "The LaBlonde boy," says Licky D, "troubled kid. The suspension, is it necessary?" Steven's all, "He bit a kid's ear off." True enough. Steven peers into his inner office, the Sanctum Stevenorium, where Blow-lita nervously awaits the arrival of her parents.
