Adam continues that the dancers destroy their bodies and fight their insecurities, and they have to struggle through all that alone. Chris, rehearsing shirtless in an empty studio, is the avatar of the lonely struggle. "Ballet is an all-consuming obsession," Adam finishes. "But when you're on that stage, nothing else matters." We get a few final images of Cinderella, and then find out what happens next: Ian got a job with Florida's Sarasota Ballet, and he and Allyson have moved in together. Ian has also gotten a terrible haircut (seriously, it looks like Tara's mop on the Sons of Anarchy premiere) and it appears that he and Allyson live at IKEA.
Beckanne and Chase have not split up; they're planning to meet each other's families. And they also walk places and giggle extravagantly. It's amazing neither of them walks directly into a fire hydrant. Zach and Scott still plan to get married. Josh rehearses some hip-hop dance moves while the on-screen chyron tells us he's working hard to get promoted at Ballet West. Ronnie is dancing again, and some lady has agreed to be in a relationship with him, God help her.
Chris and Christiana are divorced. NOOOOOOOOOO, my heart keens! But they're both still dancing at Ballet West, so I'm sure that's super comfortable for everyone. (Tell us what happened to the puppy!) Finally, Allison still wants to get back together with Rex, but it's in the company's contract that The Great and Terrible Saga of Rex and Allison's Love can never have a neat ending, so he's holding out on her. And that's a wrap on season two.
Thanks for reading, everyone. If you're in withdrawal, remember that this magnificent gem exists.
