All of a sudden, and I have no idea how this happened, LyDee is alone in what looks like the lobby of the hotel. Alone! Apparently, she needs a hand with her dress, but as she's alone, she corners some poor sap to help her pick up the bottom, and it's actually really hilarious because she keeps saying "no" every time he gets his hands on it, which makes him drop it. This happens about five times until he gets it right.
After this, she's waiting in a doorway, ready to walk down the aisle. She's fully vexed now. "Start! Start! Start! I'm ready!" "Tell her to sit down." She gripes up until the last possible second when she links arms with her dad, and finally lets it all go and smiles, which is nice to see because she has a rather pretty smile. The ceremony has begun.
When their vows roll around, Irvin has his remarks written down, and LyDee planned to do the same, but forgot her card, so she speaks from the heart, and what she says is pretty sweet, albeit trite. But hey, she didn't have her card, so we'll forgive her, right? Right?
At one point, when reciting their...other vows, I guess, LyDee stumbles on her words and demands that the minister wait so she can get the words right, which the minister later commends: "I love that she is unwilling just to go over words, but to say them because she means what she says. If we only had so many others just like you." Aw. That was actually kind of cute. Good for them!
Unity candles, rings, kisses. All that good stuff. She pulled it off without any help from her friends. Dare I say it? Not a Bridezilla! "I'm glad that it's over, but I'm glad we did it, you know?" Yes, I do. Congratulations, LyDee. Thanks for not being anything like Regina or Marsha.
Next week...we have more Regina, and we all know what that means: more Mr. Stupidhead slamming his forehead into a wall. However, somebody stands up to her, which I am full-on amped for. Then there's Angela, who, aside from her already famous "Are you insaaaaaane?" moment, seems...screw it. I can't call it anymore.
I'll see you then!
