Sarah Gets Her Groove Back

Justin is at home alone when there is a knock on the door. It's David. Justin greets him and lets him in and David immediately asks about Rebecca. She hasn't been answering her cell phone and he hasn't talked to her in weeks. He came straight from the airport in the hopes of seeing her. Justin doesn't understand. Neither do I. Is Rebecca really such a bad liar that she would pretend to eat dinner with her dad when it is so easy to verify that he is out of the country? She couldn't just pretend to have a friend or something? I mean, LEARN TO LIE, girl! Sheesh. Justin makes troubled puppy dog eyes that are so sincere that even David looks concerned. Justin confesses that he has no idea where Rebecca is or what she is doing. I would say an affair, but if she were having an affair she would have to KNOW HOW TO LIE.

At The Senator's office, Kevin is attempting to be SO passive aggressive that The Senator has to tell him what his top secret job is. The Senator tells Kevin to shut the door so they can yell properly. Kevin is unhappy. He feels trapped. He does not want to be best buddies with The Senator (he did not rule out Bosom Buddies, though, so keep an eye out for the re-boot) all he wants is a little job security. The Senator can't really offer him more than he already has, but he asks Kevin to maybe be a bit more direct. Kevin cowboys up and says he is ready to move on and it doesn't matter what the new Double Secret job is, because he is done. So The Senator accepts his resignation, effective immediately. Kevin looks stunned as he shuffles out into the hallway. Um...Kev? What did you expect would happen when you said you were ready to move on? Wacky playful music scores the scene, but I didn't realize passive aggressiveness had a theme song.

Saul goes to talk to Holly about Dennis York, of course. Because there is absolutely nothing else going on in their business other than the treasure hunt. I mean, work is so slow that Rebecca doesn't even bother showing up and Sarah leaves five times during the course of a single workday. Anyway, Holly may have actually come up with a genuine clue. She lights a pipe, settles a deer hunter hat on her head and explains to Saul that she had been going about her research all wrong. She had been investigating Ojai, when she should have been looking at Dennis York and his sundry businesses. She found that two weeks ago Dennis York filed paperwork to start a new company called Narrow Lake Development Corp. She then found a receipt from way back in the day for a survey of Narrow Lake done by one Mr. William Walker. She thinks Dennis York wanted to get Ojai so he could get to Narrow Lake. Saul thinks she is on to something. They just need to figure out what and/or where in tarnation Narrow Lake is. They pat each other on the back for being on the right track. Then the ominous dramatic music starts up and when Holly says she can't wait to tell Nora about this Narrow Lake thing, Saul claims that he will tell her himself. Uh...okay.
