Sure enough, Ryan sits at a café with someone I am sure I should recognize from this show, but I can only remember him as the judge from The Wire. Ryan hands over copies of all of Ojai's top-secret documents to the man. He also tells him that Ojai is going to start producing cheap wine. The man nods and Ryan asks, "What did you say you needed this for again?" The man has his reasons and walks out. It's really hard to tell from this scene whether Ryan is a criminal mastermind or a complete moron. And how did he meet this guy? Did he respond to a Craig's List ad? Does he hang around 4Chan? Blargh. I am SO not interested in yet another Walker embezzlement scheme.
Kevin is firmly in the doghouse at his loft. Scotty is pretending he's not in trouble, but he totally knows he is. Kevin apologizes for ditching him at his mom's house. He offers to reimburse him for the cab fare and Scotty glares at him. He's not mad, but he wants Kevin to realize that if they have a child, he can't do things like that. He can't leave for hours in the middle of the night; he can't work all day every day. Kevin assures him that he will not be an absent father. He grew up with one and doesn't want that for his kid. Scotty evilly asks him to promise to give up his job if things get too hectic. Kevin takes the point. He promises to try and prove to Scotty that he will do whatever he can to do what is best for the family. Scotty asks for the $32.50 for the cab ride. They kiss and make up.
The Senator goes to find Kitty. She almost smiles at him as he offers to get her something. She can't have anything before the biopsy, but she is ready to talk. He sits down across from her and promises that they will fight it. They will do whatever they have to do, they'll go wherever they have to go. They will fight it and they will win. Kitty looks happy. The Senator can't believe she's been carrying this around by herself, he wishes she had told him. She admits that she was scared, scared that he wouldn't be there for her. He swears that he is there. She looks down at her hands as she admits that she was also scared that he would stay with her just because she has cancer. He gets down on his knees, holds her face and swears that he is there because he loves her. If this turns into the John and Elizabeth Edwards story with Kim Raver as Rielle Hunter, I'm punching me some writer.
Justin is taking a break from studying to make his contractually-obligated five minutes of screen time. Rebecca is hard at work on her cheap wine (marketing, not drinking) when Justin looms in her doorway. He tackles her and they start making out but only after Rebecca promises that she won't fall asleep after. TMI. Like, really that scene would have been on the cutting room floor if it weren't for Justin's required air time.
