Basement of Casa Summers. A post-coital Xanya are huddled together on Spike's cot. Xander seems happy and enthusiastic. Anya, not so much. "I knew we'd always do that again," says Xander contentedly. That's an oddly written line, but I double-checked and that's what he said. "Yeah. One more time anyway," replies Anya. Xander immediately picks up on the phrasing and asks, "Is that what that was? One more time?" He sounds so sad, but when Anya asks if he thinks that there should be more than what they just had, Xander agrees that it seemed like a final post-breakup sex session. Sounds like he's trying to agree with Anya so he won't have to admit to his own disappointment. "I think maybe we're really over," says Anya. And I think that after Anya and Giles had their V-day blowout, Giles got upset and told Anya that he thought she had unfinished business with Xander and that they couldn't be together until she'd come to terms with it. That's why he hasn't been around. Of course Anya, being Anya, interpreted that as having to sleep with Xander to prove that he's out of her system. She's just doing it for Giles. I hope this doesn't cause them problems later on. I really want those crazy kids to make it. "It's good, right?" says Anya, "Now we can move on." See? SEE? I TOLD you. She's moving on to Giles. They're going to be a public couple soon. I can just feel it in my bones.

Back at the high school, Spike picks up a board studded with nails. He tosses it to Wood, asking, "How'd they make this in here, you suppose?" Well, Spike, it's a BOARD with some NAILS pounded through it. It's not like it's a thermonuclear device. Sheesh. Suddenly more students tackle both Spike and Wood. The only enjoyment I get out of the fight scenes is seeing the stunt doubles for the main characters doubling for these nameless students. Buffy's stunt double rushes Wood while Xander's stunt double is busy with Spike. During the fight, Wood knocks the crap out of some student with the nail board, causing a large splinter to split off. He picks it up and then looks over to Spike, who is hunched over with his back towards Wood. Wood raises his makeshift stake high and is about to make all of my dreams come true when he's tackled again by another student. Curses!
