Dream-vision. We see a quick flash of a demon that's got the cutest widdle floppy ears! The rest of him's pretty ugly, though, and covered in large blue spots. A man screams, and a phone rings. Giles wakes up from being passed out on his desk (that's never, ever happened to me) and discovers that his phone is actually ringing. It's Buffy, and he dismisses her again. Buffy: "What's the Mark of Eyghon?" Giles gapes. Ethan snarks, "Cat got his tongue?" Ethan's got his left sleeve rolled up to reveal his tattoo. Buffy tells Giles about Ethan. Giles responds that she's in grave danger as long as she's around him, and that she should get out of the library. I can believe he's not thinking clearly, but wouldn't he want Buffy to protect Ethan? I find it hard to believe that he would just let Eyghon have a clear shot at him. Anyway, Philip comes crashing through the window. Ethan stands behind Buffy and grabs her by the shoulders. Hee. He's such an unapologetic weasel. Giles hears the commotion, and leaves his apartment. Buffy faces off with Philip. Ethan starts for the door, but the Scoobs enter. Buffy tells them not to let him get away. Ethan easily gets by Xander (the Typing Monkeys stop munching on their bananas long enough to ask what happened to his soldier training), but Cordy instinctively knee-kicks him, and he goes down. Heh. Philip advances on Buffy, but she feints one way, then kicks him into the cage and locks the door.
