Free from the Chains

John - I wouldn't want to equate my situation with some of the greater stories of being released from captivity, but with Chains of Love ending, I feel like kissing the UPN execs for only making me sit through six episodes. They ended with a doozy, bringing the sanest guy of the series on to be tempted by four of the biggest hos this side of Home Depot.

Moron than off

Jenny - Chains of Love might be the most maddening show ever on television. It has driven numerous people out of my living room, and, if I'm not careful I'm afraid, out of my life. What is perhaps the most maddening thing about the show is the fact that it is maddening, because I'm afraid that means that on some level the show is affecting me, which is what "art" is supposed to do. Well, this episode is perhaps the most maddening yet, but with a surprisingly satisfying ending: a nice guy claims he isn't in it for the money, and his words come back to haunt him big time. And yes, I hate this show even more now.

As Latin as my Aunt Ethel

Tomas - Chains of Love does something smart by switching back to a four-girl/one-guy format. Chains of Love does many things wrong, especially casting; we get drunken psychos and abandonment-phobes and drama queens and fake-breasted nitwits as our girls, and a Christian moralist who calls himself "Latin" but looks about as Latin as David from Eight is Enough.

Success! Sorta.

Jennifer - If Chains of Love can't succeed in pulling any ratings and giving UPN even a tiny slice of credibility after existing for years as a television ghetto, at least they can now boast that, at least according to the graphic at the end of the show, they have brought two people together. Small victories, people. Very small.

Blahs of Blah

Stephanie - Four guys. One girl. One recapper. One angry cat. Two naps. Four commercial breaks. Eight beers. Two crying sessions. One lone ratings point. One long recap.

This Show Is The Weakest Link. Goodbye!

Andy - Terrible. Awful. Hideous. Boring. Dull. Annoying. UPN's new reality show about four single people chained to a contestant and one by one they are voted off the chain until there is just a couple and then they decide if they want to have a relationship and yeah, if you're still reading this is a confusing sentence but it's clearer than the premise of the show and I watched the whole thing and really I'd almost rather stick my face in a moving fan than watch this show again but there is something about it that is somehow compelling but don't tell anyone because I like having friends.
