Bakula sees Sarah sneak into his holding area. He asks the guards if they have a cigar for him, since he's going to die anyway. They go to get him one, but Sarah and Casey are waiting to knock them out. They toss Bakula the keys, and Casey tells him to hurry since an airstrike's headed this way. We see the F-16s, who are telling General Redhead they're closing in. Casey, Sarah, and Bakula arrive at the car to no Chuck, just a note that says, "Gone to stop Roark. Back in 5." Casey says he's going to kill him, but The Mummy walks up, pulls a gun, and says they'll actually be happy to take care of that for him.
In the drive-in's projector room, Chuck approaches the blue, glowy Intersect cube. Roark catches him, calling him the prodigal son. Then The Mummy and some other bad guys lead Casey, Sarah, and Bakula in at gunpoint. Roark's glad everyone's here to see the Intersect work. He points out that if it doesn't, he'll have to kill everybody. Chuck asks what if it does work. Roark says the result will be the same, but Chuck should root for it to work, since "nobody likes a cynic." Well, I sort of do, actually. Roark turns the new Intersect on, and Chuck tells Casey and Sarah to shut their eyes, and keep them closed. As it's flashing, Bakula walks up to Chuck and whispers for him to open his eyes. Chuck tells him he doesn't want a refresh; he just wants this nightmare to be over. Bakula knows; that's why he made this for Chuck. It's all for Chuck. He tells Chuck to trust him, and Chuck opens his eyes. The photos end, and Chuck passes out. Roark says it was a rush, and he wants to flash. He pulls out some photos of bad guys, and doesn't flash. Bakula says he must need to fix a glitch, but Roark says it's too late, so he would like someone to wake Chuck so he can kill him. Just then, though, he can hear the F-16s, and wonders what the hell that is. They've started firing, so everyone starts running.
