In the Orange Orange's Super Secret Lair, Casey enters and asks Sarah what's going on. She's watching it all on a video and fills him in. Casey's disappointed that the one time he steps out of work he misses all the fun. A couple things: He steps out of work a lot. And hostage situations? Not fun. Or at least they don't seem fun on movies and TV. Casey is carrying wrapping paper and bows for some reason, which he sets on the table as Agent Redhead lets them know who Ned is: a civilian with no record; not even a speeding ticket. Casey wants to play with his new "toy," which is a gun, but Sarah says they shouldn't blow Chuck's cover, especially with all of his family and friends there, so they'd have to go into hiding too. Agent Redhead asks them to try it Sarah's way, and Casey seems disappointed. She asks him if he's okay, and then we pan out to see all of his fingertips are bandaged. He tells her they're just paper cuts because he's on gift-wrap station. (A-ha! That explains the gift-wrap.) Agent Redhead awesomely says, "It's an electronics store, Major. Not Basra. Get it under control."

We get shots in front of the store, including with TV news anchor Maureen Mitsubishi. She fills us in on what's happening in the Buy More. Then a negotiator walks up to the cops and asks who's in charge. Carl Winslow says he is. And that his name is Al Powell, Burbank PD. That would be the same character he played in Die Hard. The negotiator says he's Lieutenant Mauser, a hostage negotiator with LAPD. Al updates him, and eats a twinkie ["Some things never change for Al Powell" -- Angel]: Ned's an amateur, everyone's safe, and Al's cousin, Mike, is the store manager, who will have everything under control.
