MONDO EXTRAS
"Mr. And Mrs. Smith Meets The Office"
CB: So what further aspirations do you have in the industry? Like, would you ever want to be a showrunner?
PK: Well, you know, I would like to spend a few years continuing on a show that I really enjoy. After that, or concurrently with that, I would like to…as I said, John and I had a pilot, and I would like to have a pilot again with him. I don't know if I have the showrunning personality, but I could certainly co-showrun -- the sort of effort that guys like Josh and Rob muster for their job is just staggering and awesome, and I'm confident that I could do half of that. And if someone like John or Diane or someone else I think is really groovy wanted to do it with me, I think I could be a showrunner, but right now I'm really happy just turning in scripts.
CB: And would you ever want to do any more feature work, or do you think television is your bag?
PK: I don't know. Right now, television seems like where it's at.
CB: [laughs] I guess as long as you're being hired, there's no reason to do anything else.
PK: [laughs] Yeah.
CB: Well, that's all I've got for you, Phil! Thanks a lot for all the time and for accommodating my schedule.
PK: You're welcome!
