While Horatio's having his little chat, Delko inspects the broken lock on the radiation treatment area while Calleigh looks at the floor. She's wearing a pair of shoes that just...oy. I'm all for clunky platform heels, as they're usually more comfortable than stilettos, but when the hem of your flared pants is falling over them to the point where the shoes are nearly invisible, it's time to admit there's a problem with proportions and consider a change of clothes. Fortunately, nothing impedes Calleigh's ability to speak English, so she points out that the folks at Risher were keeping the radioactive isotopes in the fridge next to their lunches. Delko opens the door to confirm; sure enough, the groceries and the radioactive isotopes are all jumbled together. Either the lab techs at Risher are the biggest bunch of bad-asses ever to hop behind a lab bench -- tattoos reading "Born to Sequence" that they did themselves using a little crystal violet and a thumbtack, radioactive isotope-drinking contests -- or they're the biggest bunch of morons. Delko points out that they're not allowed to drink anything in the lab where they work (good policy, that), and then he and Calleigh get down to talking about what on earth she's been studying on the floor. It's a footprint -- dirt from a heavy-tread shoe or boot.
In Risher's office, Horatio's saying, "So let me get this straight, Mr. Risher. You did have a break-in, and you failed to report it to the police." Risher says that they needed time to do an inventory and figure out if anything was missing. Horatio pounces on that: "And something was missing, wasn't it? Like four or five syringes of iodine 131?" Risher's stunned that Horatio knew that. Horatio fills him in: "We found a $20 bill on a dead mugger with your credit card impression on it." Risher decides the conversation is over. Frankly, I'm amazed he had it in the first place. Horatio disagrees, and says, "You stand to lose $128 million if Ms. King wins her suit against you, don't you? It would be convenient if she disappeared." Risher hisses angrily, "Ms. King is playing David and Goliath; she hasn't a single piece of solid evidence against us. A dead person with our money and our medicine? Thank you very much for solving our break-in." Horatio decides then that a little threatening action is in order: "If I find out that you did this, I'm going to make it my mission to get you." Then he glowers at Risher for a while, practically inviting Risher to ask about the many, many other people whom he's currently stalking in the name of justice.
