A teddy bear from the memorial provides our segue into an episode of Inner Show. Kelly holds a bear just like it as she watches over her nephew at a playground. Her partner shows up to give her the bad news about Libby. Kelly almost breaks down crying. She says Libby was close to Billy. "She was supposed to meet me today," she says. "She was gonna give up Billy." Her partner tries to get her to tell him more about Libby, but Kelly gathers up her nephew to leave the playground.
Shifty meets up with Roger outside Inner Show's sound stage. She gives him a big hug and thanks him for inviting her. She turns on the sparkly eyes and smiles whenever he looks at her, but switches back to shifty mode the moment his back his turned.
Jeff and Skye meet with Laura at Nate's apartment for more sitting around and talking. If you read my Supernatural recaps, then you know some of my major peeves are scenes where people sit around and chat to convey information. Jeff is surprised when Laura shows him videos of her with Nate. "He was happy here with you," Jeff says. "Why didn't he tell me?" Laura smiles and says, "I think he wanted to impress you." By not telling him about his girlfriend? Sure. She says she thought Nate felt guilty for having so much fun, when Jeff's own college experience was spent saddled with responsibility. Carey is there, too. When Laura excuses herself to answer her phone, Skye and Carey go over the details of past games. "Laura got totally wrapped up in it," Carey says. "In being cool and the power it gave her." She says it bothered Nate that Laura didn't take the show seriously once he started to see something deeper. Carey pretty much telegraphs herself as being the baddie with her excessive smiling and crazy eyes. Laura rejoins them to say that people have been talking about Jillian's death, saying that it's not a coincidence. She frets that Nate is really behind it all.
For their next stop on the tour, Roger and Shifty stop by the production office. She coos over a big promotional poster. "It's like Billy is watching over everything." If Roger were thinking with the head above his shoulders, he might realize that Shifty is nuttier than a pecan log. He scurries off to fetch her something to drink and runs into the actress who plays Kelly. "Showing your niece around set?" she snarks. "So funny you are, Marty," he says. "A delicate mix of self-righteous and judgmental!" Dude, you should be buying Thin Mints from that girl. Marty is going easy on you. Roger introduces the two of them. Marty tries to make nice, but Shifty's all, "OMG ur SO MEEN to BILLY!!!!!!!!!111!!!" Marty can't get away from her fast enough, but Roger is just charmed.
