Then it's evidently the next day because Dawson and The Flash are walking along the dock as baseball-cap-wearing fishermen mess around in various boats. The Flash is blathering on about the romanticism of the sea and after a lot of blah blah blah fishcakes concludes with, "Kinda makes you want to chuck it all and become a fisherman, you know?" Uh, Flash? "Chuck" what, exactly? Dawson chuckles condescendingly and says, "Fish is [sic] a viable career option for you now?" The Flash says, "Well, maybe." Dawson says, "What's next, Dad, a fireman?" I guess that The Flash decides he doesn't have the upper-body strength to smack Dawson's enormous head, so he apparently ignores that and, since they've by now arrived at the Witter Whaler, says to The Sheriff, "Permission to come aboard, sir!" The Sheriff grants him permission and shakes both their hands. Dawson says "hey" to Pacey, who starts to muse...something (he starts out, "You know"), and then jumps up and says he forgot to tell Dawson something yesterday, and that Dawson is "just going to kill [him] for it." Just then the camera cuts back to the dock, where Jack "Rising Stock" McPhee is jogging along with a lot of gear, much of which he keeps dropping as he goes. Since Jack is behind him, Dawson chuckles at Pacey and says, "Look who's being melodramatic all of a sudden." Just then, Jack appears beside the boat and says "hey." At the sound of Jack's voice, Dawson snaps his head back to, probably, glare at Jack, and although we don't see the expression on Dawson's face, whatever it is causes Jack to roll not only his eyes but his entire head, and then simply apologize for being late as he jumps on the boat. Neither Pacey nor Dawson says anything (though Pacey looks sheepish), and then The Sheriff calls to Pacey to "start launch," so he takes off before the furious-looking Dawson can start interrogating him. This leaves Dawson no option but to stand alone in the corner of the boat as it sets off, pouting like a two-year-old.

Over at the No-Fault Hacienda, Joey and Andie "Staying Fresh, Staying Cool" McPhee are walking across the lawn as some camera dude unloads equipment from a van. Jen walks out to greet them and thank them for coming. Joey takes this opportunity to get in a jealous dig at Jen: "Couldn't resist seeing the hot new producer in action." Jen has no response but to gaze at Joey in stunned silence as Abby "Lucci" Morgan comes out and makes some mantrap comment about the cameraman, prompting Andie to mutter, "Oh God, not you." Abby says, "Rude! Where's the love?" Andie rolls her eyes. The Bride of Flash comes up behind Andie toting a tripod and says, "We're going to get started in a minute. This was a great idea, Jen." This remark causes Joey to wheel around and glare squintingly at Jen, who deflates. The Bride of Flash adds, "It's going to be fun, don't you think?" Joey turns around and nods vigorously, then brushes past Jen into the house. Joey, are you familiar with the not-very-politically-correct expression INDIAN GIVER?
