LATER, NEAR A CREDENZA

Hannah: "Sofia, I just let myself into this mansion like people are constantly doing because I need to tell you something."
Sofia: "Oh, gross."
Hannah: "Robert and I. Have been having. An Affair!"
Sofia: (Breaks into sobs near a credenza.)
Hannah: (Grossly -- and inevitably -- thinks she is victorious for a sec.)
Sofia, who was faking: "I WAS FAKING, YOU WHORE! I WIN AGAIN!"
Hannah, desperate: "He, uh, he... he took me to Paris! On your anniversary!"
Sofia, verbatim: "You think I don't know exactly what my husband is? He and I were made for each other, you dumb bitch."

Finally realizing she was outclassed at least two years ago, but certainly by the time she found Sofia in her giant awesome house doing giant awesome Sofia stuff, Hannah makes a run for it!

Outside -- guess where? -- she tells Joanna, who is just kind of hanging around not to stay too long in that job at Bowers Pharm unless she wants somebody to call her a dumb bitch near a credenza one of these days. Which is so stupid. Hannah is so gross and stupid. Don't sleep with your boss and if you do, be cool about it. And then, if you ever feel like blowing shit up and taking it to the wife, you deserve it if she totally ranks on you and makes you run away crying. Get your own. Either you're important and special enough to be with, or you're not. If the former, don't go after married men, because that demeans you. You're special enough that they should come after you.

But when that does blow up in your face -- which it will, because you're treating yourself as a loss leader and then still expecting ROI, which is like believing you can actually lift your own body by the bootstraps; it's physically impossible, it's why the derivatives market fell apart -- then you're a double asshole if you try to make that anybody else's problem. I'm not saying the man gets off scot-free -- he's the one that's cheating, after all -- but that's a separate subject. All I'm saying is, self-respect is a gift you give yourself.

Joanna: "Not a huge concern, but I see that you are cracking. Good deal. I wouldn't really care either way, but you are an especially unsavory woman from what I can tell."
