Judge Judy and Executioner

They go to Rowdy and ask for permission to file a complaint against Judge Joan. He's not remotely on board with it. "She will take it as a personal attack," Rowdy says, comparing the judge to a "foaming dog" who'll go for their necks. Liam protests that Kevin is in jail for a crime he didn't commit. Rowdy points out that Judge Joan can have him transferred to a much nastier prison in retaliation. He thinks Liam and Dylan should be proud of themselves for doing what Mr. Mather asked of them. Dylan is indignant. "No, we shouldn't, and neither should you!" Rowdy can't quite believe what he's hearing, so he spells it out for them: They're unlikely to successfully censure Judge Joan and she'll make the rest of the firm's cases a living hell should they end up in her court. Liam quietly points out that Rowdy is worried about the firm's other clients and Kevin's dad... but what about Kevin? Liam wonders if this is what's going to happen to them, that they'll stop caring about the outcome like Rowdy? Rowdy mulls it over for a long while before grabbing the complaint from Dylan.

Evening drinking: Susan and Cliff show up at a fancy restaurant, expecting to meet their clients only to discover they've been set up by Malcolm and Beth. Instead of being pissed, they drink expensive wine. Meanwhile, Jason shows up at Addy's office with beers. He sweetly babbles some small talk until she cuts him off. Moving in together is a big step and she's not comfortable with that idea. To Addy's surprise, he's actually relieved to hear her say that. "It makes what I'm about to say a lot easier," he says. He comes around the desk to take her hand and, completely misreading the situation, gives her an engagement ring and asks her to marry him. She stares at the ring wordlessly. Back at the restaurant, Susan and Cliff are finishing up their first bottle of pricey wine. They manage to talk like civilized adults. Susan realizes they can't work out their problems alone, as the negotiations proved, so she wants to see a therapist. Cliff holds her hand. Booze helps everything.
