MAVO: "The world is filled with unlikely friendships." Oh, right! Like the old man and the pit bull from wayyy back in the beginning of the episode? Remember that? When was it, 1972? MAVO: "How do they begin?" We see Xiao Mei the Money hemming one of Gabby's fabulous gowns. MAVO: "With one person desperately in need, and another willing to lend a helping hand." Susan picks up her mail, and then waves at Karl and Edie as they ride by on a bicycle (Edie up on the handlebars, of course). MAVO: "When such kindness is offered, we're finally able to see the worth of those we had previously written off." Tom and Ed high-five each other in Ed's office, and Lynette looks over at them and shakes her head in wonderment. MAVO: "And before we know it, a bond has formed, regardless of whether others can understand it." Danielle and Matthew make out under a tree. MAVO, now with sinister music swelling beneath: "Yes, unlikely friendships start up every day. No one understands this more than the lonely." Caleb looks out his window, and smiles down at Matthew and Danielle's make-out session. MAVO: "In fact, it's what they count on." Caleb lets the curtain fall, and then he gets a creepy sort of grimace-smile look on his face, kind of like he just peed his pants, but in a good way.
Next Sunday: Bree passes out on her own front lawn!
