That night, Dexter comes home to Rita. If you thought we were going to get out of this episode without any wedding talk...WRONG. Rita has cake there -- she wants him to taste his favorite. He tries two types and she asks his favorite -- he responds that he's more in the mood for steak. He should know by now how she's feeling about the steak talk. He's asking for trouble. She reminds him that they're getting married and need to choose a cake for this damn wedding that we'll have to hear about forever. Dexter is distracted. He asks if Syl is still there and she says that she isn't, because she intervened. She says that Miguel thinks she's a very wise person. Uh oh. She adds that she just gave him some insight (Dexter is picking up on this) and he said he thinks she could save his life. Dexter's mind is spinning -- he knows that Miguel is a liar, but now he's wondering when the lying began. Rita asks him again which cake he liked -- but he's thinking about the shirt that Miguel gave him. He stands and says that he has to look at some blood. But, hazelnut. That's the cake he likes.
