"Are You…A Serial Killer"?

Dexter turns up to the crime scene and slows his walk a bit as he sees the grim truth -- Anderson's body is covered with an American flag. Batista doffs his hat in respect as Anderson's corpse is wheeled into an ambulance, but when Batista and Quinn make some blowhard threats toward whoever perpetrated the crime, Deb warns them that they're going to do everything by the book. "We're cops, not killers." Reasonable reminder, if a bit clunky given what she's just been witness to, but this is so DVO can comment that being a killer would feel great right about now. Not exactly internalized any lessons yet, has he? Dexter gives the team gives his quick assessment of the girl's death, but when he looks up, he sees Deb regarding him with a hard, suspicious look and DVO starts to realize that Deb may never believe him again. Quinn brings Dexter back to the present by asking when the girl bought it and Dexter estimates eight to twelve hours prior, which Deb comments is not long after they all left the church. Well, that's a pretty big window to call "not long," in my opinion, but I'm not a cop. As the rest of the team comes to a quick and accurate enough theory of how Anderson met his end, Dexter pulls up a biometrics database on his phone (he must have the iPhone 5) and starts checking for prints as some new African-American female cop tells them where Anderson's car was found and LaGuerta wonders if there might have been any witnesses before letting us know that she has the unfortunate duty to inform Anderson's wife. She goes on that the female victim's attire suggests she was a stripper, which, having been to Miami, seems like a hasty judgment to me. Dexter gets a match for the girl in the fingerprint database -- "Kaja Soroka." When he announces that, Batista tells him that's who the car is registered to and Masuka announces that the car was wiped clean of prints, but with Dexter back in the front seat, DVO lets us know that even criminals who take the care to clean their prints often forget about the turn signal, which is one of those TV tips designed to make our society better at crime. Sure enough, he hits pay dirt.
