Dexter is putting on his tie when Deb comes in. She tells him that King took the chicken shit way out and committed suicide. She says she feels like a transvestite in her dress. To be honest, this look isn't really her. I'm imagining it was on purpose. He's having a problem tying his tie, so Deb does the rabbit thing from behind him. She warns him not to lock his knees at the altar, for fear he might bite it. Then, she tells him that she's very happy for him and wishes their dad could be there. They hug as Dexter says he has a feeling he is there. Now, it's time to fucking get fucking hitched or however she put it.

Rita's vows end with "I honor you, I love you, I marry you." Dexter tells her that he promises to be the very best husband and father that he can be. And, that's it. He VO's that it was an utterly honest vow.

At the reception, we see everyone dancing. Dex VO's that all of his previous attempts at intimacy had ended in death. Now, he has a partner for life. We see Deb and Anton dancing -- Dex breaks in. There's Angel and Barbara dancing and kissing. Rita is dancing with Astor and Cody. Quinn and Maria are dancing. He VO's that he might be making the biggest mistake of his life. We see a vision of Harry and his mother toasting him from the apparition table at the reception. While he's dancing with Rita, he VO's that he's content at this moment, maybe even happy. We see a drop of blood escape his cast and drip onto the back of Rita's dress. Yeah, blood on a pregnant lady's dress. That's not gonna cause a fuss. Their band appears to be led by a giant saxophonist. Dexter says that life is good and that's the end of our season! So, there were some good spots in this year, but this was definitely not the best. Seriously good performances from Hall, Carpenter, Smits, and Velez. Emmys all around for these kids!
