Outside the station, Deb is ordering from the lunch truck. An everything burrito with a side of beans. She sees Anton and calls out to him. She seems excited to see him. She asks him what he's doing there. He was picking up from evidence his wallet, watch, and chapstick. She says that she could have brought those to him but he brushes it off. She tells him that she made detective and he excitedly congratulates her. They almost hug but think better (worse!) of it. He says that he should go and they awkwardly say goodbye to each other. Fix this, kids.
Dexter picks up Cody and Astor from school. As they're getting into his car, we see a mystery car roll up behind them. Dexter VO's that he stopped at four bars looking for Ramon and has a new appreciation for the number of Miami alcoholics. The car follows them as they pull away.
At the station, Angel pulls Deb aside. The ADA's office was requesting Anton's surveillance reports, so he read them. He's furious that Deb would sleep with a key witness. Miguel was looking into it. He says that it's a conflict and Deb should have given him the heads up before he went to Maria and recommended Deb for detective. Deb asks if he's going to spike her rec and he replies that Maria has last say, but she deserves "full disclosure." Deb doesn't like that -- she asks if he disclosed that he met Barbara when he was trolling for a hooker. Slam! He asks her how she heard that -- I actually want to know too. She realizes that she should have watched her mouth and says that she's sorry. He repeats his question and she says that she knows someone in Vice. She's the only one who knows -- she thinks. She apologizes profusely, but he says, "It's just my chickens coming home to roost." Sad but true. He walks away as she's beating herself up.
Angel enters Maria's office solemnly and states, "I met Detective Gianna while seeking the comfort of prostitutes." That's a great line. That's how I introduce people to my parents. Maria's confused. He continues -- he propositioned Barbara, she took mercy on him, he was let go with a warning, it was a dark time for him. He says that he understands if she wants to pursue a case against him, but Maria replies that laying Angel off for thinking with his dick is pretty low on her list of priorities. True dat. He corrects her though -- he was looking for simple human connection. Yeah, so was Larry Craig. She says that everyone has skeletons and she would prefer if he kept his deep in the closet. Then, he tells her about Deb and Anton.
