Simon Says...
In a hurry? Read the recaplet for a nutshell description!

We sort of get previouslies this week, since we pick up with the last few seconds of last week's episode, when Nick walked in right after Nola stabbed Simon. Nick once again asks what the hell is going on, but this time Jeremy tells him it's under control. Nick tries to get Nola to put the knife down, which prompts Jeremy -- in a sudden and rare moment of knowing ... well, anything -- to point out to Nick that it's actually a letter opener. Anyway, Nola says she's not stopping until Simon tells her where his brother is. Nick tells Nola to stop, so Jeremy threatens Nick, but Nick tells Jeremy to step back since he was never here. Nick says he'll call the police, but Nola doesn't care. And Simon's still not going to tell Nola anything, until Nick plays tough and says that's fine; they'll just stand here and watch him die. So Simon tells her he's in Switzerland, and the address is in the safe. Nick still won't untie Simon until he'll agree to stay out of Karen's and the baby's life. Simon says he's not the bad guy here (episode title so soon?). Jeremy and Nola get the address and Simon agrees to stay away. Nick starts to untie Simon, who passed out.

Then we're at the Imperial, where Simon's in a hospital bed. Tripp says Nick did the right thing bringing him here, since they have so many questions to answer. They remind us of a few of the questions we would like resolved by the end of the episode (why Simon's in league with Nola, who prosecuted Letitia and is now Patrick's chief of staff). While they are standing there gazing at Simon (and, really, who wouldn't?), a nurse (played by Dell's crazy, druggie ex in Private Practice) comes in and asks them to leave so she can change his dressing. They're cool with that, since they need to go interrogate Nola anyway. She's screeching that they can't keep her here against her will, but Nick says that's true, although they could always let the police know she's trying to flee to Switzerland after attempting to kill someone (whose injuries surely haven't been reported, so isn't Nick in the wrong here, too?). But that convinces Nola, who tells them everything she knows, which is that she didn't have a choice since Simon took her brother. She says her entire involvement with the Darlings was Simon's idea, so they should talk to him. They let her go. That was easy. In the hall, Jeremy tells Nola they can take the family jet to pick up her brother, but she says he's not coming, and she's actually not coming back. She's taking Justin home to Shanghai and staying there. She kisses him and the music gets slow and sad, as if I'm supposed to care. I don't.
