Mels is thrilled with her new body. She loves her copious red hair, her shapely "mature" body, her new bosom that will look magnificent in sweaters. She darts off to weigh herself, but overhears the gang talking about River Song. She's all, "Who's River Song?" "Spoilers," the Doctor says weakly. "That's her, all right," says the captain inside the robot. "Melody Pond. The woman who kills the Doctor."
Right on cue, Melody whips out a gun and takes aim at the Doctor. Luckily, the Doctor had taken the bullets out while she was regenerating. So she tries another gun--the one from the fruit bowl--but he's switched it with a banana. She tries to stab him with a letter opener, but he sonics it out of her hand. The Doctor why she didn't try to kill him earlier. "I'm a psychopath; I'm not rude," she says. She was born and bred to kill the Doctor. "My bespoke psychopath," he calls her. That's what I'm totally naming my rock band. They snuggle up rather close to each other. She calls him Sweetie, but he tells her only River Song gets to call him that. Melody gives him a light kiss on the lips and remarks on what a stupid name that is. She makes her way to the shattered window. When the Doctor moves to follow her, he suddenly stumbles. She kissed him with poison on her lips and now he's dying. What a lame plan. The Silence spent all these years and made all this effort for her to give him a poison smooch? Anyone could have done that! Hell, they could have had someone shoot him with a poison dart! Why do villains always make such Rube Goldbergian plans? Anyway, Melody makes a little speech about peace and war and then leaps down to the street below.
