The Doctor paces. He talks himself into realizing that the time on the red waterfall side of things is compressed. On the green side, visitors can stay for a day and watch their loved ones live out their entire lives on the other side. "It's horrible," Rory says. "No, Rory, it's kind," the Doctor says. He says it's a choice between watching someone die in bed for a day or spend a day watching them live. Still sounds horrible. "Which would you choose?" he asks. Rory doesn't answer.
The Doctor grabs the time glass and sonics it onto Amy's timestream. He spells out a plan to rescue her, but an alarm starts blaring. He tells Amy to hide somewhere in the facility and leave him a sign. He also tells her to avoid the hand-bots. "They don't know you're alien; their kindness will kill you!" This planet is going to fall right out of the Intergalactic Top Ten after this. Amy goes through another set of doors into the facility, sending Rory her love and a command to save her.
Back in the TARDIS now, the Doctor hooks up the time glass to the console. Since he can't go in after Amy himself because of the plot-virus that will kill him permanently dead, he plans to send Rory in with a pair of glasses that will transmit everything he sees back to the TARDIS monitors.
Amy wanders around Two-Streams. It looks like a vast, empty airport. A disembodied female voice calling itself the Interface welcomes her. "I will be your guide, your teacher, your friend." Doesn't sound like an airport. A video screen flickers into a life and a tour guide offers her all kinds of "entertainment zones," like a place with mountains or a Disneyland death ride. Amy continues wandering on and confronts a hand-bot. It scans her, notices all her unregistered bacteria and prepares to jab her with a big honking syringe. Amy tries to explain the medicine will kill her, but the hand-bot ignores her. "Do not be alarmed; this is a kindness," it says. Amy darts out of the way so the hand-bot's head splits open, revealing an arsenal of medical darts. Maybe the people on this planet have different definitions for "alarm" and "kindness" than we do. More hand-bots beam in. Amy bolts.
